DIVORCE

?What do you think of divorce and its increasing rate in your country

Unfortunately, the divorce rate is on the rise in my country and it varies in different cities. The more populated a city is, the more divorce you witness. In small cities, divorce might be a stigma. In the old and traditional culture of Iran, if you weren’t satisfied with your marriage, you’d have to suffer and tolerate it because divorce is taboo, something forbidden, a sin. However, nowadays marriages break down pretty soon. They are very fragile. You know, young people believe that there comes a time when living together is impossible. You get to realize that there’s no respect, mutual understandingloyaltyaffection and care whatsoever. Then, enough is enough. No more torture. You seek relief!
