How do you like shopping?

 

Well, I can say I’m really into shopping. I go shopping whenever I have free time and of course money! You know, shopping changes my moodrelaxes me, and rewires my brain. I really like to shop around to see if I can hunt a real bargainBut sometimes I’m on a tight budget and I have to be careful with money, so I just go window shopping and browse around shops.

How do you like…: used for asking someone for their opinion

Example: How do you like this city/these shoes?

Be into something: to like something, Synonymbe interested in something, be keen on something

Whenever: every time that a particular thing happens

Example: call me whenever you like.

Mood: (n) the way you feel at a particular time (be in the mood for something: to feel that you would like to do something)

Example: I’m really in the mood for a party.

Relax: (v) to become or to make somebody calm after being upset or nervous, rest

Example: Relax! Everything’s fine.

Rewire: (v) to put new electric wires in a building, machine, light etc.

Shop around: (phrasal verb) to compare the price and quality of different things before you decide which to buy

Hunt: (v) to look for and find something

Example: The kids were hunting for shells on the beach.

Bargain: (n, v) something you buy for less than its usual price. To discuss the conditions of a sale or agreement for example to get a lower price.

Example 1: The second-hand table was a real bargain.

Example 2: Workers are bargaining for a better pay.

Be on a tight budget: not to have enough money = money is tight

window shopping: (n) the activity of looking at goods in shop windows without intending to buy them.

Browse: (v) to look at goods in a shop without a particular purpose
